Cloud Engineer (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Your main area of responsibility is the further development of the product infrastructure and supporting the transformation of our software into the IONOS Cloud infrastructure.
• You serve as the technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and advise your colleagues on implementing functional requirements for the infrastructure.
• You develop, operate, and maintain the internal support infrastructure (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Kong, RabbitMQ).
• You are involved in optimizing and scaling the system in a service-oriented architecture.
• Together as a team, we continuously optimize our agile development and delivery processes.

Qualifications

• You have experience as a system administrator, cloud engineer, or similar roles.
• Solid knowledge of the Linux operating system, container technologies, and specifically in Kubernetes.
• Experience in using software and tools for automation and configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, Puppet, Rundeck).
• Experience in operating and troubleshooting highly available and distributed production environments, including monitoring, alerting, and log analysis of distributed applications (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, FluentD, ELK, VictoriaMetrics, Icinga).
• Ideally, you already have experience in operating highly available applications (preferably with PHP, Apache, or Nginx).
• Good knowledge of German and English.
