Financial Controller Global Accounts
We are looking for a persistent, agile, results-oriented and experienced Financial Controller Global Accounts to enhance the Finance department of Asendia. In this position you will be responsible for various global accounting and controlling tasks.
Location: Remote
Position: Full-time

Your Tasks
Control global account financial data and metrics (prices, costs, quantities, weights, etc.) / Create and maintain a weekly P&L at customer level, identifying issues and formulating actions to improve margins / Ensure that all revenue (including manual processes such as returns) & surcharges are invoiced on time and correctly / Margin analysis and ad hoc analysis to compare and verify supplier costs / Cost assurance, checking that suppliers' invoices are in line with agreed rates (e.g. dynamic pricing for air freight due to COVID, which can change every week) / Supporting the business with financial data for feedback on QBRs and other ad hoc requests / Provide financial KPIs including average DIM weights for airfreight, last mile percentage surcharges, linehaul rates, average kilo rates, etc.
Relationship with customers and suppliers / Finance contact for handling customer queries, approving credit notes and resolving disputes / Contact with suppliers to resolve billing issues and request credit notes.
Communicating global account performance to the group / Prepare monthly financial data (revenue and margins) and explanations for the monthly Board presentations, including analysis of variances against budget and latest forecast / Working closely with the Group's international subsidiaries to update global account performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting / Maintain a forward-looking projection / Regularly re-forecast global account revenue and margins and explain variances against budget and previous forecasts / Responsible for the budget process.
Improve the visibility of the global account team's performance / Develop additional analytics to provide financial data and metrics on other "non-key account" activities (on some key identified pathways, on the team's new business pipeline, etc.).
Your Profile
Persistence, tenacity, work force, structured and results-oriented, combined with great personal responsibility and high analytical skills are just some of your strengths
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance/controlling with more than 5 years of professional experience, have ERP knowledge (SAP) and experience in accounting policy
You are motivated, reliable, accurate and have a pragmatic approach to moving your projects forward
Your strong communication and presentation skills (fluent in English) ensure the capability of working with people of various levels of hierarchy and from a variety of backgrounds, in an international environment
You have a high team spirit and appreciate collaboration with colleagues from different countries and cultures. Colleagues can always rely on you
You are prepared to travel
