Linux System Engineer (f/m/d) - IT-Infrastructure Services

Tasks

For the operation of our global, linux-based infrastructure services at IONOS we are looking for an experienced and Linux-savvy system engineer. Together with a competent team, we will give you the responsibility and opportunity to ensure the smooth operation of our extensive and global services and to drive their further development.

• You administer our various IT infrastructure services (as f.ex. Webserver, Haproxy, Puppet, Grafana, Prometheus, Git, PKI/CA, HSM, Vault) running on several hundred systems in multiple data centers around the world, and you ensure their high availability.
• You analyze problems, eliminate faults within the scope of the respective ITIL processes and document them.
• You will do performance analysis and optimization and also evaluate new technologies.
• In addition, you will participate in a rotating 2nd level on-call support together with the team for the team's own services.

It is important for us that you have a solid knowledge of Linux systems, are interested in system administration, are motivated, eager to learn and that you are willing to share your knowledge with others and want to improve it.

• Several years of professional experience in the administration of Linux server systems.
• Solid knowledge of Linux system administration (SSH, Bash, remote administration etc.) is a prerequisite. Ideally already experience in the administration of larger Linux environments and knowledge about the associated challenges.
• Know-how in a programming language like Python, Ruby, Golang completes your profile.
• Experience in software development and in handling software code (GIT, SSDLC) are useful.
• Good English skills, structured and independent way of working as well as the ability to work in a team, communicative and open-minded appearance towards our internal partners are also no problem for you.
