RESPONSIBILITIES
Within our global research unit Herbicides Early Biology you will join a team which provides research services to improve and support new herbicide lead chemistries.
- In your new position, you work on the biochemistry of new herbicide leads and targets using protein biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics and associated technologies.
- You use microbial expression systems to produce, purify and measure protein function in test systems.
- In addition, you are responsible for the data analysis, reporting, documentation, presentation and discussion of your results.
- Furthermore, you gain experience as a scientist in an industrial setting through participation in project teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- successfully completed PhD in biology, biochemistry or a related natural scientific discipline and ideally gained solid work experience in the research area of protein biochemistry
- profound project management skills
- expertise in plant biology, structural protein biology, micro- and molecular biology
- familiar with techniques in your field of work like expression systems, protein purification and biophysical characterization technologies as well as processes within a research laboratory
- very good communication skills in English and German
