RESPONSIBILITIES
In our Global Ecotoxicology unit, you work in a multidisciplinary team and supervise the analytical part of studies that deal with the environmental behavior of crop protection products from an ecological or ecotoxicological perspective.

  • As part of a residue analysis unit, you are responsible for planning and monitoring studies in the area of residue analysis to investigate the environmental behavior of crop protection products. These studies serve to approve plant protection products worldwide.
  • For externally contracted studies, you monitor the analytical phase and are in direct contact with the commissioned institutes.
  • You advance automation and digitalization in our laboratories in Limburgerhof and represent this topic in global BASF project teams.
  • In collaboration with your project team, you are responsible for the timely creation of dossiers, risk assessments and processing requests from authorities.
  • You develop new analytical methods, develop ideas for realigning and optimizing work processes and advance scientific and technical solutions that you present to our global teams.
  • Last but not least, you take responsibility for individual active ingredients and monitor all analytical methods used globally.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • completed master's degree in chemistry
  • professional and project experience in the area of analytical methods and residue analysis
  • experience in scientific work, presentations, and project management
  • familiar with the processes in laboratories and the use of analytical devices as well as standard IT applications
  • fluent English and good knowledge of German
